MITAN, Mimi - formerly Manikas (nee Scopis) Mimi was born on May 12, 1914 and has lived a full and glorious life! Mimi is our medical miracle and has defied the odds for the last 18 years. Mimi finally came home on October 26, 2007at The Woodhaven. Never say never. Beloved wife of George Mitan for the last 40 years, and the late George Manikas. Mother of Alex (Jane) Manikas and Helen (Colin) Campbell. Loving sister of Sylvia Scopis, Mary Adamakis and the late Helen Bulucon and George Scopis. Doting Nana of Laurie (Kerr) Kingston, Mike (Angela) Manikas, Lisa Hughes, Adam Campbell and Chris Campbell. Dear YaYa of Brett and Megan Kingston, Alexander Hughes, Alessandra and Samuel Manikas and the late Brooke Kingston.The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 29. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
