Martin, you were such a wonderful kind light in my life when I knew you as a stylist. When my own health issues developed and hair loss ensued, you gave me such gentle support. I wasn't able to tell you how much I appreciated your thoughtfulness. Your spirit and generosity has passed through my mind often over years. It was a sad shock to discover this week that you had passed away in 2003. My heartfelt condolences to your family and friends. I do recall how you spoke so often and fondly of your family! Your memory is indeed here and alive, Martin. Thank you. Helen

To the Poyser family, It was an honour to meet you. So much of Martin's spirit is a part of you and I believe that lives on. I too visited Martin as a client but my memories of him are of endless heartfelt laughter. We always found the humour in the slightest things. It was a very easy friendship with no shortage of fun. Martin lived a beautiful life. He was kind, generous, patient and caring. I believe he is in a good place watching over us all.....and smiling. On my way home from the visitation, I found an urge to laugh aloud of good times past. What a wonderful son, brother and friend. He will always be remembered and I will cherish the moments in my heart forever. With Love, Rebecca

To the Poyser family, I have been a long-time client of Martin (I think it was getting close to 13 yrs!). Over that time, Martin and I became friends - we talked about everything while I sat in the 'chair'..... He was the dearest, sweetest man I know - he always knew the right thing to say... and what a sense of humour. No matter how bad my day was, I would come to him and I would leave feeling great. I am so saddened by this - we have all lost truly someone special. My wishes and prayers go out to all of you - it was a beautiful service - a fitting tribute to a truly remarkable guy. My deepest sympathies, Jeanne

To the Poyser Family: Martin was my friend and hairstylist for the past ten years. He was such a genuine, thoughtful and unique individual who was always the optimist and made such a brilliant impression on anyone who met him. He stood out with his tall frame, handsome angular face and mischievous smile and I can still hear him saying

To Martin's Family, My apologies for being unable to attend the funeral services to give you my condolences in person. Martin has been my hairdresser for over ten years now. But more than that, he was a wonderful friend, and talented professional who always managed to put a smile on my face! His positive energy and vivacious personality were evident to anyone who met him, and he will be truely missed. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. My sincere condolences, Claudia Zanchetta

For the past six years Martin has worked his magic and made me look great. But Martin's true magic was in how he made me feel. I was inspired by his passion for life, his concern for others, his ability to focus on the positive, and his unwavering ability to put others first. Martin was a rare gem in this world. He bought joy to all he knew. I will value my time with him always. My sympathies to family and friends, and to Martin who I deeply miss.

I have been made to feel beautiful by Martin for the past 15 years, not only because he was an incredibly talented stylist, but because with every visit, through every personal victory and crisis, he made me feel special. He was truly a remarkable human being and I feel tremendously saddened for his family and close friends. My sincere sympathy, especially to Martin.
