Obituary of Joseph Patrick Blatchford

BLATCHFORD, Joseph In I.C.U., at St. Michael�s Hospital on August 30, 2006, with his family beside him, in his 86th year. Joseph (Joe) will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Margaret (nee Farquhar), sons Paul (Pearl), Ken (Wendy), Richard, Joe and daughters Mary (Perry) and Cheryl (Trevor), ten adoring grandchildren and four precious great-grandchildren. Joe was a carefree family man whose family�s well-being and happiness meant more to him than his own personal wealth. Joe served in W.W.II from 1939 to 1945 in the Ontario Regiment. We want to thank all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at St. Michael�s Hospital for their caring support. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday. A service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with a reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 345, 81 Peard Road (Victoria Park and St. Clair).
