On August 17, 2006, at her retirement residence, 8 The Donway East, at 86 years of age. Evelyn Elizabeth Wilson (Murphy), nee Murison. Dearly loved eldest daughter of William (1974) and Jean (1996), and devoted sister to Pearl Smith (Ted), Vivian Gallo, Marie Martin, Joan Beaton and the late Jeanie Murison. Much loved mother of Lynda Duckworth (Peter) and Wayne Murphy (Aiko). Cherished grandmother of Ken and Yoko Murphy. Auntie Evie will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her husbands, Allan Stokes Murphy (1951) and Ralph Frederick Wilson (1995), and is fondly remembered by her stepdaughters Marilyn Perry (Kelowna) and Jane Wilson (Prescott) and their families. Evelyn retired in 1980 from the Purchasing Department of Imperial Oil Ltd. after 29 years of service and pursued a second career in hospitality with Movenpick for 10 years while, at the same time, giving exemplary volunteer service to the Canadian Red Cross, Ontario Division. Throughout her life Evelyn has been active in her church, most recently at Thorncliffe Park United Church. The family wish to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Donway Place for four wonderful years. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 21st. A Remembrance Service will be held on Tuesday, August 22nd at 11 o�clock, followed by a reception in the Leaside Room. Interment Alliston Union Cemetery. Donations may be made to the United Church Mission and Service Fund, 3250 Bloor Street West, Suite #300, Toronto M8X 2Y4 or the Canadian Red Cross Society (Ontario Division), 5700 Cancross Court, Mississauga L5R 3E9 and would be appreciated by the family.
