Obituary of John Baptiste Frotten

FROTTEN, John Baptiste - Veteran, WWII, R.C.A.Passed away after a brave battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 25th 2006 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, in his 83rd year. John was born in Quinan, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia and was a son of the late William and Emma Frotten. He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years Laura, his seven children: John and his wife Kathleen (Markham), Louise and her husband Rick (North Bay), George and his wife Dragica (Bradford), Gerald and his wife Mae (Toronto), Linda (North Bay), Gary (Toronto), Michael and his wife Mareena (Bowmanville). Loving remembered also by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was formerly an intern with Sunnybrook Hospital and later retired as superintendent of 13 yrs with Lawrence Construction. He enjoyed his family, gardening and cooking with his own secret recipes. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 p.m. and also 7-9 p.m. on Friday July 28th. Interment on Saturday July 29th at 10 o�clock at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In memory of John, memorial donations may be made to the Veteran�s Comfort Fund, Sunnybrook Foundation, 2075 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M4N 3M5.
