Obituary of Joy Deacon

DEACON, Joy (nee Hopkins) Passed away suddenly, in peace, on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at North York General Hospital in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Judge John A. Deacon. Loving mother of Julie Hess (Milton), John (Margaret), and Charles (Beverley). Devoted grandmother of Jeffrey, Greg, Jonathan, Adam, Mary, Tim, Matthew, James, Julia, Johanna and Jocelyn, and great-grandmother of Julia, AJ, Alison, Samina, Gemma and Ethan. Sister of Claire Newby and the late Albert Hopkins. Joy�s strength of character, love and commitment to her friends and community, both in Brockville and Toronto, will be greatly missed. A private family service was held. Interment in Brockville will be held at a later date. If desired, donations may be made in Joy�s memory to a charity of choice.
