Obituary of Linda Katharine Roberts

ROBERTS, Linda Katharine (nee Warner) Peacefully, at home on Saturday, July 1st, 2006, Canada Day surrounded by her family and friends following a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, the Honorable Mr. Justice Frank Kelso Roberts. Beloved mom to Kathy (Terry Rout), Bruce (Shahnaz Khan) and Michael. Loving Grammy to Bianca and Alicia Rout. Devoted daughter to Katharine. Dear sister to brothers Bruce (Jacqueline) and Donald (Carolyn) Warner and sister-in-law to Alex (Cynthia) Roberts, Greer (Ingrid) Roberts. Much loved aunt of Kelso and Zander Roberts, Tanya and Natasha Roberts, Veronica Warner and David Warner. Cousin and friend to Leslie Davis (Richard Leach). The family would like to especially thank dear friends Mary Claire Heintzman and Libby Burton for their unwavering support and love. Heartfelt thanks, as well, to the multitude of friends and well wishers who gave so much in time, phone-calls, food and flowers. An avid bridge player, mom cherished the company and friendly competitiveness of her many duplicate bridge companions. She loved and will miss you all. The family would like to thank Dr. Scott Berry, Mary, Hyla, Pat and all the other wonderful staff in the Oncology department at Sunnybrook Hospital. Thanks to Sophia and Joyce from Integracare and Mary and Hauwa from Nightingale for their caring support and to Drs. Russell Goldman and Julie McIntrye for their compassionate care. A service in celebration of Linda�s life will take place at 11a.m. on Wednesday, July 5th, 2006 at ROSEDALE UNITED CHURCH, 159 Roxborough Drive (at Glen Road).
