Obituary of S. Robert Sabler

SABLER, S. Robert Passed away peacefully on June 22, 2006 in Toronto, Ontario. He was born on May 21, 1924 in Edmonton, Alberta. He was raised in Montreal, Quebec and lived there until 1977 when he moved to Sarasota, Florida for the duration of his life. He graduated from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and was a Chartered Accountant. Most of his career was spent as a commercial real estate developer and investor. He was predeceased by his loving wife of forty-five years, Frances M. Sabler. He is survived by his devoted children, Rosalie Nagler of Oak Ridge, TN, Les Sabler of Tampa, FL and Joanie Smith of Toronto. He will be greatly missed by his four grandchildren, Mara Nagler of Oak Ridge, TN, Evan Nagler of Waltham, MA, Desiree and Zachary Smith of Toronto. His counsel and support will be missed by his sons-in-law, Dr. Stephen Nagler of Oak Ridge and Dr. Steven Smith of Toronto. He was a member of Temple Sinai of Sarasota. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at Robarts Funeral Home, 2990 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34239. In lieu of flowers donations to the National Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
