Obituary of Barbara Joan Hillhouse

HILLHOUSE, Barbara Joan (nee Hamilton) With grace and courage, Joan died on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at St. Michael�s Hospital from a series of complications following recent surgery. The excellent skills, care and compassion by all of the St. Michael�s staff our Urban Angels who attended Joan, were outstanding - thank you. Beloved wife for 49 years to her devoted husband and best friend Don. Proud mother of Bob (Jill Dodds) and Martha (Jason Mercer). Loving grandmother of Stewart and Duncan Hillhouse. Predeceased by parents Robert Seabourne Hamilton and Helen Mary McCullough. Joan was born in Belleville although she lived most of her life in North Toronto. She graduated from Lawrence Park Collegiate and the University of Toronto (Occupational Therapy). Joan will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her wide circle of friends, especially Joan Wylie and Shirley Stewart, her lifelong best pals. The family wishes to thank our Ministers Ken Gallinger and Jessica McCrae and everyone who has given us spiritual support and expressions of love for Joan. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kim Hunter, Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 28th at 11 o�clock in LAWRENCE PARK COMMUNITY CHURCH, 2180 Bayview Avenue, Toronto.
