Obituary of Maud Haynes
HAYNES, Maud Amelia (née Cooke)
Born in Dublin, and at the end of a good life, died peacefully in Toronto at the age of 92. Blessed with a fine mind, a keen wit and love of words, she touched the lives of many people - parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, friends and caregivers alike, with her unfailing kindness, generosity and faith in God. A life well lived! Devoted and cherished wife of the late Bill Haynes. Predeceased by her parents William and Maud Cooke and her brothers Charlie (Ina) and Willy, all of Dublin. Will be missed by sister-in-law Marjorie of Calgary. Beloved Auntie Maud to Iris (Des) Glynne of Dublin, Martin (Helene) Cooke of Calgary and Carol Cooke of Toronto. Also well loved and will be greatly missed by her grandnieces and nephew Hazel and Peter, their spouses and children all of Dublin and Jodie and Jennifer Cooke of Calgary. A funeral service for Maud will be held at ST. CUTHBERT'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 1399 Bayview Avenue, Toronto on Friday, October 5th at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow at Christie Gardens. In remembrance, in lieu of flowers, donations to either the Christie Gardens Foundation or World Vision would be much appreciated.
