Obituary of Margaret Agnew
Margaret (Marg) Mary Agnew (nee Ayerst) peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, on September 28th, 2012, at the age of 80. Marg battled many ailments in her later years but it was cancer that finally took her life.
Survived by her three daughters Susan, Michele and Jackie, Marg will be remembered for her quick wit and strong will.
Her loving sister, Catherine, will miss her. Marg and Catherine shared many happy years together as the two girls in a large family of seven children - five of them boys - all of whom left this world too soon.
Her four grandchildren, Ashley, Thalia, Ainsley and Keaton will remember her love of hockey, her ready stash of candy and of course, her funny faces.
Though a mother of daughters, Marg was thrilled to welcome Alistair, Max and Jeremy into her life and treated them like her own sons. These men had a way of making Marg smile.
Marg lived the last couple of decades at Bonnie Place in Burlington and had fond memories of sitting in the lovely gardens she often tended.
Marg's life will be honoured on Friday, October 5th at 10 am at St. John the Baptist Parish, 2016 Blairholm Avenue, Burlington, Ontario, L7R 1V4, 905 634 2485.
Many thanks to Dorothy and the palliative care team at Joseph Brant Hospital and The Carpenter Hospice for making Marg's last few weeks more comfortable.
