Dear Linda, Christine, Stephanie, and Matthew, My thoughts are with you at this sad time. It is with regret that I cannot be there in person to share in paying tribute to Aunt Betty. I have so many very fond memories of her during her visits with us in NB. As a child it was always an exciting event and I remember going to Gram's and seeing Aunt Betty as she busied herself making dresses, doing Gram's hair and make-up and the lively conversations full of stories and memories of past times that would ensue. There was always a certain excitement in her eyes and voice when you were telling her about your life or she was sharing with you her own adventures or activities in life. The other nice thing was that even when Gram had passed there was always a part of her that lived on in Aunt Betty. I'm sure that for you who were so close to her that your own special memories will keep alive that exuberant spirit in your hearts. Recent years have held very difficult times and I trust that she now knows a profound peace and rests in that at last. Thank you Christine for the pictures and note that you last sent, they were so very much appreciated at the time and even more so now. I have some pictures of the family at Mom's 80th birthday celebration recently that I had ready to send for Aunt Betty to see, I will send them along anyways. All the very best to you all and take good care. Love, Elaine
