SHAW, Elizabeth (Bette) Joan (nee Paul) In her 86th year, died at home peacefully after a long illness, surrounded by her family. Loving wife of the late William Harold Shaw. Predeceased by her dear brother Bill Paul and her special sister-in-law Evelyn Paul. Cherished mother of Jocelyn (Steve Gantt), John and Jennifer (Russell Joffe). Beloved Gran to Eleanor, Benjamin and Claire. Precious sister-in-law of Phyllis Meschino and Marion Box, a devoted companion. Treasured aunt of "the girls" Shelagh, Susan, Alison and Megan. Deeply missed by her close-knit family of cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Bette graduated from Victoria College at the University of Toronto, and worked as a "Martha Logan" at Swifts. She was a longtime volunteer at Deer Park United Church and the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario. Bette will be especially remembered for her remarkably optimistic spirit and her lifelong, steadfast devotion to her family. Special thanks to Milica and Ivanna. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25. Service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26.
