SURTEES, Vivienne (nee Palmer) Born March 30, 1932 in Broken Hill, Australia, died Friday, February 3, 2006 , peacefully in her sleep after a short illness. Beloved wife of Bruce Venn Surtees, loving mother of Adrienne (Ante Bilic) and Kathryn. She was adored by her three grandchildren Andrew, Madeleine and Alexis. Vivienne will be greatly missed by her niece Cassie in Australia and her many friends in Dallas, Texas and Toronto. Vivienne and Bruce came to Canada from Sydney, Australia on their honeymoon in 1954. The Book Cellar of Toronto and Shakespeare Beethoven and Co. of Scottsdale, Arizona and Dallas, Texas were her life's work. Vivienne was a constant reader, passionate about her garden and created beautiful smocked dresses and knitted sweaters for her grandchildren. Bruce and Adrienne would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Albert Kurshen for his incredible compassion and kindness. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7. A service will follow in the chapel at 11 o�clock.
