To all the Smith family: Roger and I were very saddened this afternoon to learn of the passing of your mother. I can just visualize her in the hopital with the scotch and soda and can hear her infectious laugh!! Your mother and our Mum were such good friends and had so many adventures and such fun together. I will never forget my experience shepherding the 2 of them around the Yucatan in Mexico! Their energy and interest in everything put me to shame! And how we laughed!! Your mother will always have a very special place in my heart. I guess , next to Mum and my Aunt Noreen she was always the one I felt closest to and I have had many good conversations with her over the years since Mum left us. She will be missed, but never forgotten. I wish we lived closer so that we could attend the visitation, but I will make sure that between 7 and 9 p.m. tomorrow (Toronto time)we will hoist a scotch and soda in her honour! Take care of yourselves and much love from Roger and I and all the Griffins. Lorna
