RYAN, Catherine Mary, "Kay, "Nana (nee Robbins) January 13, 2006 -Suddenly but peacefully and surrounded by her family and friends. Catherine was welcomed into the arms of God and her beloved husband, James P. Ryan. Mother of Michael and Janie, Patrick and Colleen and grandmother of Caitlin, Siobhan, Ciaran, Nevan, Connor and Sean, "Nana will be deeply missed and remembered with great love and happiness for the gift of her wonderful life. Catherine loved her family and she leaves behind her brother, Condon Robbins, Patsy Robbins, wife of her late brother Kenneth Robbins, all of Warminster, Ontario. She was a cherished Aunt of John, Chuck (Ann), Anna Marie, Marcella (Blair), Frank, Kenny and Great Aunt of Andrew, Mary Rose and Patricia. As well, she will be remembered by her many cousins from the Lawlor and Robbins families. Community, relationships and faith were central to Catherines life and for the past fifty years, St. Bonaventure Parish in Don Mills was her home base. She will be remembered by many families and close friends whose lives she has touched and to whom both she and Jim were so closely connected. In particular, the Cope and Hisey families are representative of the power of this community of faith in both Catherines life and death. Catherines love of people reached across the city, the province and the country. Many friends will remember her for her amazing thoughtfulness, kindness and her ability to listen; her interest in your lives, hopes and aspirations was genuine. The family wishes to thank the paramedics, the emergency and critical care teams and the chaplains at Sunnybrook and Womens Heath Sciences Centre.
