(Patricia) Anne Buckley
(nee MacDougall)
Passed away at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by family early Thursday, September 20, 2012. A bright and loving spirit, Anne was known for her positive energy, professional wisdom and rich compassion. Born in Sarnia, Ontario on March 9, 1953, Anne undertook nursing study at the William Osler School of Nursing in Toronto, earning her R.N. and caring for patients throughout the Toronto area in a career of more than 30 years. Anne's life was seamless, radiating the qualities of caring, skill, wisdom and love to all. At the center of Anne's life was her loving husband of 34 years, William P. Buckley (Bill) and their much loved daughter, Laura Anne who now follows her mother in the call to nursing. Survived by sister Mary (Jerry, predeceased) Santavy, brothers Lauchie MacDougall, Steve (Cindy) MacDougall, Michael (Patti) MacDougall. Predeceased by parents James and Jessie MacDougall, brothers Glen MacDougall and Paul (Lynne) MacDougall, sisters Elizabeth (Norman, deceased) Luther, Marcella (Victor) Pellegrini, and Jayne (Peter) Tollefsen. Anne's life will be celebrated by her extended family of brothers and sisters in marriage: Tim and Naomie Buckley, Philip Buckley, Beatrice and Michael Cookson and Tom and Marilyn Sutton. A loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews, Anne was a devoted godmother to several. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8;00 p.m. on Friday September 21. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. ANSELM CHURCH, 1 MacNaughton Road on Saturday September 22 at 10:00 a.m. If desired, donations may be made in Anne's memory to the charity of your choice.
