TOWNLEY, Peter Gordon Born May 10, 1925. Died in Toronto at Veteran's K-Wing, Sunnybrook Hospital after a brief illness on Friday, November 18th, 2011. Son of the late Norman and Mazie Townley. Predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Jane, in January 2011. Brother of the late Ian Townley. Dear father of Brian (Arlie), Keith (Susan), Eric, and Christine (Peter) Corolis. Loving grandfather of Tristan and Nicholas Townley, and Harrison and Matthew Corolis. A graduate of Upper Canada College and Trinity College, University of Toronto. A veteran of World War II, who served overseas as an officer in the Royal Canadian Artillery. Retired director of Unilever Canada where his career spanned 36 years. Past President of the Badminton & Racquet Club of Toronto and a longtime member of the Toronto Hunt. The family wishes to express their deepest thanks and gratitude to the remarkable staff at K-Wing who provided such excellent care and support over the past eight months. A private burial will be held. A memorial service of thanksgiving for the life of Peter Townley will be held at ST. PAUL'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 227 Bloor Street East, Toronto, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011.
