Obituary of G.L. Louise Reid

REID, G.L. Louise (nee Grieve) Peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre on Thursday, November 10th, 2005 at the age of eighty-seven. Beloved wife of the late J. Clendon Reid. Sister of Scott, John, the late Pat and the late Elizabeth Stein. Loving mother of Peter, Patricia Wood and Chris and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Louise had a long and happy life, especially in her 62 years of marriage with Clen, and in creating a lifetime of wonderful family memories. A love of gardens and beautiful flowers, the pleasure she found in cooking and music, and the simple joy of reading a good book are the things that everyone will remember about Louise. Her quiet strength of spirit and determination, not to be a concern to others, shone through her entire life. Louise�s wish was always for others, for their safety and well-being, for her loved ones and for those who mattered most to them. The family will receive friends in rememberance of Louise at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15th. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, November 16th at eleven o�clock. Reception to follow.
