Dear Lita-Rose, Michael, Gordon and Martin, very sorry to hear the news of Uncle Irv's death. It has been a long time but he used to take me to lunch in Yorkville on Tuesday's when I lived at Avenue and Davenport - crazy the things you remember. Great mushroom soup, we both ordered it regularly. Anthony.

Irving had a great mind and a great heart. He was a great communicator and listened to every word, thereby, making everyone in his immediate surroundings feel significant. That human connection will be deeply missed.

My deepest sympathy to you Michael, Gordon and Martin on your loss. I was very sorry to read about the passing away of Irving. I truly enjoyed the many years that I dealt with Irving, first in Ottawa and then later when he moved to Toronto.

Alby was a warm, kind and gentle man. A great conversationalist who always took interest in what we were all up to. He asked the right questions and made us feel welcome and special. The team that comprised of Alby and Lita-Rose were a force and a marriage to be admired... There was never a dull moment, never a lull in the conversation - always smiles and laughter. Visiting Queens Quay was such a pleasure for us. And while we fretted that our kids would break one of the beautiful ornaments in their home, Alby as great grandpa would sit comfortably on the couch seemingly taking pleasure in their antics... calm and interested, with a great warm smile on his face. We will miss him so very much. Love and sincerest condolences to Lita-Rose, Gord, Bump (Claudette and Laura), and Marty, from Chandra, Pat, Aben, Finn and Stella.

FOR LITA-ROSE BETCHERMAN Dear Lita-Rose; 76My heart goes out to you at this, your parting time after so many years. It must be like losing part of yourself. I guess our precious relationships are temporary gifts. Thank G-d they leave permanent blessings in their path and in our hearts. Such good memories bubbled up when I saw Irving's name, and yours, in the paper today. Those were good days together in the OHRC. I think we were all, varied as we were, a good fit for that important work. Certainly we all always appreciated your quiet presence and firm convictions. Like many, I hold you and your family in my heart these days. Blessing on your days, Sincerely, Bruce McLeod
