Paul Ritchi posted a condolence
Saturday, September 8, 2012
My name is Paul Ritchi, Bill worked for a number of years with us in the 7th Thornhill MYSA Wolf Cub Pack and later in the Kanata Scout troop while his son Todd was involved. On behalf of my family and myself we wish to express our sincere sadness and grief over the sudden passing of Bill.
Over the years I have encountered and worked with many a leader but Bill was a very special one.
Bill was always full of fun, love, dedication, a good joke, boisterous and positive. Bill cared deeply for and looked after the boys that he lead over the years. Bill would encourage us to think big and then go for it. He was well looked up to, respected and loved by the boys that he lead and the leaders who had the privilege to work with Bill.
We will be attending a religious service (a Mass) this afternoon with our Timber Wolves and Explorers, we will ask the boys to pray for Bill, and his family. I am truly and deeply sad by the passing of such a special man and will always remember Bill! I have attached a PDF with some photo's of Bill and/or his son Todd.
With respect and Love during this very difficult time for all those who came to know and love Bill
Paul Ritchi

How sad and shocked we were to hear of Bill's passing. The years we spent working together I often think about, especially when I was transferred downtown.. He sort of (took me under his wing) and showed me the ins and outs of downtown Toronto. Our inspectors social club was also something that everyone enjoyed. Thank-you being such a good friend and working colleague. To the entire family our thoughts are with you all.

Our sincerest condolences are extended to members of Bill's family as we learn with sadness of his passing. We have cherished memories of Bill and the crew of Local 46 in the late 60s/early70s at Queen's Park while working for Ram Mechanical. They were special days - a time when, even though we worked hard, we sill managed to have fun doing it.

I/we will miss you so much. Silly times are embedded in my memories - that is how I will always remember you Uncle Bill - doing the silly dance in Florida, going for trips to the Falls and Peterborough and having fun times in Thornhill. Jules, Toddy and Family and Auntie Sue, Cecilia and Family, my deepest condolences. We love you Uncle Bill, always.
