Dear Susan, Anne and George, I just wanted to send you our thoughts and prayers at this time of grieving. I know the last little while was very tough for Mary and all of you and it is always hard to lose someone. Aunt Mary was always so kind and loving and I always felt like she took the time to get to know all of us at any family gathering. George, you have had a wonderful life with Mary and I know your days will be very empty - your love of life will help you carry on. Susan and Anne, I am sure this is very difficult for you and for your children. Losing a mother and a grandmother is a tough time. I know that over the years your mother has been very proud of you because I would always hear about your adventures, accomplishments and children. Anne, I know that the last 6 months have been very stressful for you and I know my dad has appreciated all you did for your parents especially the last little while. Susan, I heard you with your mom and dad towards the end and that your father had time to say good-bye; I am sure this was important to the three of you. Love to all of you and I will be thinking of you on the 7th of October. I am sorry that I can't come, but it is just too far and too expensive. Lots of love Beth and Bill
