I am David Hammond, I was a Pickles till my father William changed the family name, my father was Jonathan's uncle. I am shocked to hear of Jon's death, I knew nothing of it, and am saddened to hear of it. The last time I saw Jon was in 1974, the year I left school in England, and found out that he was a mad keen Soccer fan, or football as we cal it over here; I too am a mead keen football fan and follow my local team Hull City, the town from which Jon originates, I am saddened to think that I never got back over t Canada and had the chance to meet him again and perhaps talk football, two old football bores together, although I am sure that Jon would hav been more knowledgeable about me, as he seems to have devoted his life to the beautiful game. My heart goes out to Paul, Chris and their families, and of course my Aunt Joan, and hope that he rests in peace, to enjoy the beautiful game in heaven. Sleep well Jonathan.
