STOCKWELL, Kathleen Florence (nee Denney) At Bendale Acres, Toronto, on July 6, 2005, 37 days short of her 95th birthday. Daughter of David Denney and Annie Barbara Pierce. Beloved wife of the late John Cawthra. Predeceased by her brothers William, Charles and Donald, and by her sisters Sarah and Marjory. Lovingly remembered by son John, daughters Meredith and Jane, son-in-law Thomas Iacona, sister-in-law Gwendolyn Denney, and Donna MacInnis. Loving grandmother of Karin, Julie, Deborah and Amy and great-grandmother of William and Andrew. Affectionate aunt of many nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks to Carmine Fry, Du�anka Medakovic, Dr. Bernard Li, Biba Blums and the caring staff at Bendale Acres. Kaye grew up in turn-of-the-century Toronto at Bloor and Dovercourt and attended Oakwood Collegiate. Always active in the church, as a youth she attended Westmoreland United Church and was a faithful member of the Beaver Bible Class. Later, as a young wife and mother, she taught Sunday school at St. Augustine�s Anglican Church in Leaside where she formed the first bible class for young adults. She was also a grade-mother at Northlea Public School. A woman of great perseverance she was an accomplished pianist and often played "O Danny Boy� and other Irish favourites accompanied by her husband on violin. Before marrying in 1940, Kaye contributed her talents as a bookkeeper to the T. Eaton Company. After being widowed in 1954 and until her retirement in 1975, she was a valued employee of the Canadian Comstock Company in Leaside. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 8. A service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, July 9 at 11 o�clock. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery with a reception to follow. Flowers graciously declined but donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Avenue West, Suite 1200, Toronto, Ontario M4R 1K8.
