WINDISCHMANN, Luisa (Mayer)
Born February 19, 1907, in Ajka, Hungary, died peacefully on July 4, 2005, in Toronto, at the age of 98. She was a talented cook, seamstress, and gardener, with a very strong work ethic. Luisa was a longtime resident of Windsor, then Cambridge, Ontario. More recently, she lived at Greenview Lodge in Toronto. Orphaned in infancy, she was predeceased by her infant daughter Iren, by her sister Iren Keckes, by her beloved husband of 65 years, John (1989), and sadly by her devoted son Dez (1995). Luisa was the proud grandmother of Karen (David Suydam), Liis, and Cheryl, a dear mother-in-law to Fran (McGuire), and, a loving great-grandmother to Jaime and Kaleigh Suydam. She will be dearly missed by Frans extended family, by the Vasarhelyi family, and by all who affectionately knew her as Grandma Luisa. The family is extremely grateful to Linda Davidson, Jill Raine, and all the dedicated staff at Greenview Lodge, for their care and kindness. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 7. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, July 8 at 11 oclock. Family interment at 2:30 p.m. at Mountview Cemetery in Cambridge. If desired, donations to your charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
