Obituary of Alfred Powis

POWIS, Alfred, O.C., former C.E.O. of Noranda Mines Peacefully at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto on Wednesday, October 10th, 2007 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Louise. Loved father of Tim (Nora), Nancy, and Chuck (Ellen). Dear grandfather of Lucy, Isabel, Henry, Laura, Robert and Heather. Predeceased by his brother Carter Powis. Remembered also by Shirley Powis. A private service was held on Friday October 12th. A public memorial service will be held at the York Club, 135 St. George Street, Toronto on Tuesday, October 23rd from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Toronto General Hospital, R.
