Obituary of Dorothy Helen Robinson

ROBINSON, Dorothy Helen (nee Creswick)It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Dorothy in her eightieth year, on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2005 in Toronto after a brief illness. She leaves her friend and daughter Carole Robinson and her beloved son Douglas John Robinson, as well as three treasured grandsons Christopher, Philip and Julian Schroer. Dorothy also leaves her younger sister Susan (John E.) Wright and nephew Andrew Wright (Kelly) and family all of Bath, Ontario and niece Kathryn Power (Jody) and her family in Ottawa. She also leaves many extended family members with whom she kept in contact in Canada, the United States and England. Dorothy will be remembered with great affection by her many close friends with whom she has shared her life through her family activities, lifelong friendships, abundant volunteer work, tennis, bridge, church and frequent travel. Dorothy spent many hours over the years working for a number of causes that were dear to her heart: The Georgina Foundation, Progress Place Rehabilitation Centre, Aphasia Institute and John Gibson House all located in Toronto. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2 pm to 5pm on Sunday, May 8. Service at ST. JOHN'S YORK MILLS ANGLICAN CHURCH, 19 Don Ridge Drive on Monday at 2 o�clock. Interment to follow at St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery in Bracebridge, Ontario at a later date. If desired, please send donations to one of the above charities in remembrance of Dorothy, or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association of Ontario.
