Obituary of John William Muir

MUIR, John "Jack� William Dad passed away peacefully in Toronto on Sunday, April 10, 2005 in his 85th year. Jack was born in Vancouver to John G. and Kathleen B. Muir. Dad will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his six children John, Kathleen, Tom, James, June and Jocelyn and their spouses and partners. Grandpa Jack was loved dearly by his ten grandchildren Emma, Graham, Lauren, Christopher, Katie, Jennie, Mutesi, Musinga, Brooke and Bret. Dad will also be greatly missed by Gretchen McDowell and June Muir. In the last years of his life, Dad experienced declining health. However, he maintained his good spirits and ability to rejoice in life. To the staff of both Sunnybrook & Women�s and Seniors Health Centre who so lovingly cared for Dad, we are profoundly grateful. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 p.m. Sunday April 17. A private service will be held.
