Obituary of Nancy McLean
McLEAN, Nancy Margaret
On Wednesday, January 19, 2005 our dear mother and friend, Nancy Margaret McLean passed away. She will be missed greatly by her family and many friends. Nancy was the heart of the family, and the strength of the family business. Her strength, tolerance and joy for learning and living were a lesson to all of us. Nancy leaves in sadness her sister Dorothy Gunnarson and family in Sweden, her sons Alastair (Sandra), Duncan (Tess) and Donald, her loving grandchildren Stephen (Jennifer) and Lindsay in Toronto and Samantha and Dana in England, and her many friends.
The family extends special thanks to her caregivers, the Temmy Latner Palliative Care team, the nurses from St. Elizabeth Centre and all her friends who devotedly called and sent cards and flowers throughout Nancys illness. She cherished every one of them. Nancy will be missed by her dear friends she affectionately called the "Goodwillers and her co-volunteers at the Sunnybrook Hospital Gift Store, and especially the staff of Waddingtons, who adored her.
The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, January 22nd. A remembrance service will be held at Waddingtons, 111 Bathurst Street, on Sunday, January 23rd at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnybrook Cancer Research Centre, 2075 Bayview Avenue, Toronto M4N 3M5, in memory of Nancy or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Rest in peace Mom - you did more than your share here on earth.
