MARJORIE HARRISON FERGUSON Sadly, Marjorie Ferguson died on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at 92 years of age. She will be very much missed by her beloved husband of 55 years Angus Ferguson, her nephews Bryon and Nigel Harrison, her niece Sandra McGinley, her adopted nephew Dr. Peter Watson and many long-time friends. Marjorie, a nurse, left England in 1946 as part of the team that set up the Canadian Red Cross National Blood Transfusion Services. She was a very capable leader and supervised the depots across Canada for blood collection and distribution until her retirement. Thank you to Dr. Howard Leong-Poi, Dr. Victor Hoffstein, and Dr. Bruce Topp for her excellent care through her latter years. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10:00 a.m., at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross Horn of Africa Fund, 5700 Canross Court, Mississauga L5R 3E9.
