I send my deepest condolences to Michael, Sander, Carol, Jim, Geeske and all others who are suffering the loss of this wonderful woman. I had the great pleasure of getting to know Mimi and spending a fair amount of time together for a period in her life. I remember her as an incredibly strong and independent person with a very smart aptitude and a real go getter attitude. I think she must have been about 85 when she blazed around New York like a 40 year old! She was unique and lovely in so many ways and I am happy for her to have had such a long and fulfilled life. Although I did not see her in her last years of life, I have thought of her often, and recalled her telling me about the home she was moving to and all that entailed. There is comfort in knowing that she was happy and fortunate to have the loving support of her family close by. Of all things, I recall how much she loved her family and appreciated that you lived close by. My thoughts are with all of you. Sincerely, Jennifer Wright

To Micheal, Jeff & Andrea, My brother Donald Bews (Calgary) and I send our sincere condolences to all the members of your family. Don and I spoke last night and shared memories of growing up with the "Cruickshanks". Don swears he can remember "every square inch" of your home on Lakeshore Road. Our parents, Don and Mary maintained their friendship with Mimi over their long lives and always spoke fondly of her. The obituary in the Globe May 3, 2011 captured the essence of Mimi. I remember her as a gracious, kind and gentle person. You are fortunate to have had Mimi as your mother and to have great memories of a truly lovely lady. Please know that Don and I also appreciated knowing Mimi and that our thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Alison Hughes

To Jeff and Robin. Please accept my condolences with regard to Mimi's passing. I met Mimi many years ago when Geeske brought her to see the gardens at my parent's home in St. Andrews, NB. She was such a charming lady with a very positive attitude and endearing personality. I am sure she will be missed by all who knew her.

Michael and family Tears came to my eyes when I first heard the news. Mimi was such a lovely person and her passing is such a great loss. I have been thinking of all of you often and my heart goes out to you. For whatever it is worth, from someone watching from the sidelines, I could always see the deep love and respect you all had for Mimi and could tell that she felt that from all of you as well. After a very happy and full life, may she rest in peace:) xo Jennifer
