Peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 96 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Hazel. Dear brother of Mary, Olive and Doris and the late Evelyn, George, Jack, Frank and Helen. Loved uncle of many nieces, nephews and their families. A special thanks to all of the K2 West Staff of Sunnybrook Hospital for all their care and kindness. Retired Salesman for T.J. Parsons Stationary and Printing, and devoted 53-year Volunteer at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Dunn Avenue). Recipient of the Lt. Gov. Volunteer Service Award. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22. Service in the chapel Wednesday, February 23 at 11 o'clock. If desired, donations may be made in Charles' memory to the Toronto Rehab Foundation, E.W. Bickle Centre, 130 Dunn Avenue, Toronto M6K 2R7.
