Obituary of J. Werner Bock

BOCK, Werner Born in Berlin, Germany on August 21st, 1921, Werner passed away in the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Sunday, February 13th, 2011. He will be sadly missed by his sons Tony and Steven, their wives Lyn and Franda, and grandchildren Daniel, Lucy and Francesca. Since May 2009 when Gwen, his wife of 65 years predeceased him, Vern lived at The Claremont retirement residence where he enjoyed the companionship of the many good friends he made there. A Holocaust survivor, Vern was the ultimate gentleman, quietly determined, and well-loved by everyone he met. In addition to his career at Orenda Engines and Hawker Siddeley, Vern was a long-time member of the East Side Players where he made many friends over the years in his role as President. The family will receive friends for a reception in his honour in the LEASIDE ROOM of the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W.
