Glenn Gilmour With great sadness, we announce the passing of Glenn Gilmour on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the age of 72. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Colleen Kenney and his two sons, Michael and David. He is survived by his brother Steven, sister-in-law Sandy, niece Carolyn Macaluso, her husband Charles and their three children Joseph, Matthew and Charles Jr. and his nephew Michael Petrini. Glenn will be mourned and missed by friends and colleagues in the ballet world. Prior to his teaching years, he was principal dancer with the National Ballet of Canada and soloist with the London Ballet and Ballet Rambert. For many years he was a master teacher who inspired numerous young dancers at Canada's National Ballet School, as well as students in his freelance work in Toronto, Pickering and Vancouver, just to name a few. He was a Fellow and Examiner for the Imperial Cecchetti Society of Teachers of Dance. A memorial reception will be held at Canada's National Ballet School, date and time to be announced.
