Sandy and Rob. I probably haven’t seen Ethel since perhaps 1980. However, she was sweet to me on so many occasions. I was very fortunate to have spent time with both she and Art. Their very positive influence, and it may come as a surprise given how young we all were at the time, I can still hold up as one that I will not ever forget. I have periodically cleaned up the burial plaques at MPC - now what kind of former employee does that? Great memories of Ethel and AGS. Chris Mifflin

Please accept my sincere sympathy to the family of Mrs Simpson. As a long time employee of your family business I can not begin to tell you the life lessons I have learned from working with your family. Your Fathers demanding yet fair expectations laid the groundwork for me to go on and be reasonably successful in my family and work. I have know your mother for several years and her ability to treat me as other than "just another employee" created a warm and comforting environment to come to everyday. I know that she was not at work everyday ,but I was fourtunate to be able to socialize with your family on occasion and be able to feel the good vibes that she shared whether in your home, company function or at the family cottage

Hello Rob, Laurie, Sandi, Heather, Very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I have fond memories of your mom and dad and the rest of you when we were all kids having fun. How the years have flown by ! My mom turned 92 in October and lives at the nursing home in Parry Sound. I say LIVES, but it’s not much of a life. She has a lot on her plate. Glad to hear that your mom was able to stay at home till the end. It all makes you realize how short life is, and how it’s so important to have fun along the way. Speed, Fran, and Hilda and I, and the rest of the family up here are all well and hope you are too. Maybe we’ll see you On The Bay one day soon. Brian Rolph

Dear Sandy, Rob, heather and Laurie and families, John and I were sorry to learn of your Mother, Ethel's,recent passing. We knew that she had Alzheimers and so had been unavailable to you for quite a while. However ,it is very unsettling to lose one's last parent as there is no one left who knew you and loved you from the day you were born. She was fortunate to be able to stay in her own home throughout her illness. I remember your Mom mostly in the context of Harold Babcock ,of whom we were both so fond. John and I send our heartfelt condolences and the hope that your many happy memories of your parents in better days and the support of friends will see you through this sad time. with or love and affection, Elaine and John
