Obituary of Mary Schaub

Mary Elaine Thérèse Schaub Mary entered into the joys of eternal life on January 15, 2011 at home at the age of 75. A loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother, "Thérèse" will be remembered for her generous spirit, her sense of humour, and her courage in the face of a lengthy illness (idiopathic interstitial pulmonary fibrosis) that progressively weakened her body, but not her soul. Lovingly cherished and missed by her husband, Michael, her most beloved daughter, Wendy, her favorite son-in-law, John, her precious grandsons, Mark and Jack, her brother, Eugene, sister, Bobbe, brother-in-law John, and by Mildred, Fred, Jennie, Janet and Rick, and by her dearest friends, Max and Sara Rhinewine and their family. Daughter of the late Fred and Edith Taylor. Predeceased by her brother, Lance. For many years before her death, Thérèse received the constant support of the sacraments of the Catholic Church, selflessly administered by her pastor, Fr. Michael Hughes. Her medical team was also most supportive, and she was always grateful to the staff of the University Health Network, especially to her primary care physician, Dr. Philip Ellison, and his nurse, Debra Klatt. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18 and Wednesday, January 19 (prayers and rosary on both evenings). A Funeral Mass will be held in ST. DUNSTAN'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3150 Danforth Ave., Toronto, at 11 o'clock on Thursday, January 20. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery.
