Dear Rolly and Family. We are so very sorry to hear of Judy's passing and want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We have countless fond memories of our years at Spruce Grove while you were there. All the long talks we had, the weird and great things that happened and the super people we met. It was good seeing you also in Bragg Creek at your lovely B & B. We are thinking of you. Sincerely Gordon and Sharon Hawkins - Calgary

It didn't take long for Judy to come and introduce herself when we moved in. I remember saying to Terry: "What a nice lady". The boys were only 3 and almost 1 when we moved to Bragg Creek. In fact, Branden took his first steps on Judy and Rolly's lawn. Of course, there was great celebration by both Judy and Rolly as if the kids were their own grandkids. Over the years, we were blessed with wonderful Belgian waffles on Sundays, I am sure that Judy always made more than what was needed for her guests; just so she could share her waffles with us. On a couple of Valentines Day, we woke up to chocolate on our doorstep, or cookies were left for the kids, apparently from Merlin...lol When my Uncle died, Judy brought us chicken noodle soup. Judy was always there for others.
The love Judy had for Rolly was so apparent; she shared on more than one occasion that she did not know what she would ever do without Rolly. She was so very proud of all you kids and her grandkids; she would always share your successes with us. It was always a comfort to have her around, she watched the boys, looked out for us and yes, we consider her one of our best friends. We know we have another angel in Heaven. We were so blessed to have had Judy in our lives a piece of our hearts went with her. Judy you did not deserve what you went through and one day we will know of God's plan. May you rest in peace until we meet again.
We love you.
Julie, Terry, Patrick and Branden

Even in mom's last few days she never totally forgot those she loved and cared for. She would always manage a smile for her best friend, my father even during her darkest moments. When I visited her on Christmas Day she greeted me with this same warm smile I have known for so many years. In this way - she fought the disease and she won. Always a lady of class, she also knew when to leave. She waited until I had left her side briefly to call my brother to take her last breath. I came rushing back only to find she had silently slipped away. Through my tears, I lovingly said, "you litlle brat - you did that on purpose!". I think this exemplifies the fun-loving nature of my mom and it lives on in me still. For awhile I will continue to cry when I think of my mom but I will also smile. I was blessed with a wonderful mother and a best friend. She will be missed.
