I extend my deep sympathy to Jock's family. As a great friend and great Canadian. he contributed a great deal to the lives of everyone who was associated with him or knew him as a friend. His determination to calculate, exercise and perform perfection was overwhelming. Warmest regards to you all George Ferguson

Dear Judy and Maynard Family, We are saddened to hear of Jock’s passing and will miss a dear friend of many years. I first met Jock in London during the First World War. Since then we have spent many happy times together and shared many laughs with Jock and Marg at Honey Harbour and in Toronto or on the trail with the Walking Stick Club. Please accept our sincere condolences. Our thoughts are with you. Unfortunately age and infirmity prevent us from being able to communicate this to you in person. Don & Gwen Sutherland, Toronto

Our thoughts and prayers are sent to the Maynard family at this difficult time. We have fond memories of Jock, especially times spent together at the Maynard cottage on Georgian Bay. One particular memory is when Jock led fitness classes on the dock very early in the morning! Muriel Bell fondly remembers the wonderful trip to China that she shared with Jock and Margaret Maynard. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered. Mary, Don, Erin, Jenny Spring and Muriel Bell, Huntsville Ontario.

Jock was the quintessential Alpha Delta Phi fraternity brother: loyal, thoughtful, interested and fun. Our fraternity was always the better for his presence at reunions, most recently leading grace at dinner. I also have happy memories of lunches with him at the B. & R. My father Bob Pepall was very fond of him. He will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to his family, George Pepall, Kitchener

We have very fond memories of Jock from our visits to Georgian Bay. Jock's hand crafted dodecahedron is proudly displayed in my Design Technology classroom, complete with his typed instructions. Dear John and Judy, I don't know if you'll remember me, but John ('Jock Jr') was with me for a year or two at UTS and I know that I knew Judy but cannot remember from where. Also, our fathers were together at UTS graduating in '38, I believe. My condolences to you both and your families. I remember your father fondly, mainly from our time at Grace Church. I hope this is not too difficult a time for you all. Living in Winnipeg, we are not able to attend the funeral but please know that our thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Derek McLean
