Obituary of Jean Constance Powell
POWELL, Jean Constance (Stewart)
— It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean on December 13 after a brief illness at age 95. Born in Toronto in 1915, she lived a full, varied and happy life. Devoted wife of the late Dr. Bailey Powell (1990). Cherished mother of the late Nancy (Barry), Barbara (Rob), Penny (Bob), Wendy (Sean), and
Judi. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Heather, Elspeth, Kevin (Tammy), Ryan (Jen), Janine (Josh), Brad (Leslie), Leslie (Andy), Julie, Molly, Rory and Brett. Great-grandmother of Lucy, Carmen, Alexandra, Kara and Easton. She will be remembered by all those who knew her as a caring, kind "lady"
who had a flare for fashion and took a special interest in people's lives. She enjoyed travelling to many
interesting places and latterly enjoyed listening to the adventures of others. At Jean's request, a private family celebration of life will be held in the New Year. In her honour, wear any shade of pink, raise your glass and enjoy what each day offers. Special thanks to the staff at Mt. Sinai Hospital and the staff and friends at Bradgate Arms. In lieu of flowers, donations to Princess Margaret Hospital, Women's College Hospital, Mt. Sinai Hospital, the CNIB or Parkinson's Foundation would be gratefully appreciated. Condolences can be sent to www.humphreymiles.com.
