Frances May Sutherland
Passed away at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in her 94th year. Eldest daughter of the late John Franklin and Harriet (Coleman) Collinson of Ceylon, Ontario. Survived by her sister Margaret Piper and brother-in-law Grant Moffat. Fondly remembered by step-son Ian (Carolyn) Sutherland, step-grandsons Alaeric (Tara) and Fraser (Jessica). Step-great-grandmother of Lauren, Michael, Ashley and Cara. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lloyd Campbell Sutherland, sisters Jean Duncan and Marian Moffat, brothers-in-law Dr. Sherman A. Piper and Frank M. Duncan, and nephews John Duncan and Robert (Bob) Moffat. Loving aunt of Judy (Allan) Taylor, Patricia (Paul) Anderson, Carolyn Mandel, Susan (David) Kell, Janet (Garnet) Robinson, Harold (Florence Duncan), Frank (Helen) Moffat and Donald Moffat. Great-aunt and great-great-aunt to many nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Fran. Miss Collinson taught at Earl Grey Senior Public School in Toronto for 26 years. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10. Funeral service will be held in ST. CLEMENTS ANGLICAN CHURCH, 59 Briar Hill Avenue, Toronto at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 11.
