Uncle George... Although I haven't seen you in many years (since Aunt Alice's funeral actually) I have many memories from my childhood of spending holidays with you, Aunt Alice, Uncle Don & Aunt Anne, Aunt Helen, Uncle Pat, Grandpa George and the rest of the gang. What stands out most in my mind is how you and Aunt Alice would take time out of your busy lives and come and pick up my sister Marie and I and take us for a drive around the City to see the lights at City Hall and Eatons. I also remember that you called me "Buttons" .... and as a kid I didn't really know why but I recall that I always thought it was a funny name. Thank you for those memories! I am so glad you didn't suffer. Rest in Peace Uncle George! xo

George and my Dad, Paul Weed, were great friends. I remember hearing about their many joint endeavours. I work at Markham Stouffville Hospital which George helped give birth to. It is one of many institutions that exist due to his determination and his great personality. My sincere condolences to you on his passing.
