Dear Elaine Our most heartfelt sympathy to you and your family on the sudden loss of Jeff. On behalf of my sisters Michele and Jennifer we shall keep you in our prayers. We are forever grateful for your friendship. We will always remember how much our dad , Al d'Eon , enjoyed the many projects , especially restoring the Halifax with Jeff and John Turnbull and all the other wonderful veterans who committed so much time and energy and good will.I know the boys are together in heaven at the Pub! The allied airforces reunion has moved on but they are all in our hearts . Love, Marianne d'Eon-Jones

I "met" Jeff by way of a television documentory about the raising of the Halifax from the bottom of Lake Mjosa. He seemed like a lovely guy . My father was a wireless operator in the RCAF and in researching his story I found a real appreciation for the stories of all the airmen who served. I am thankful for what they did . I am also thankful that people like Jeff care enough to see that the history is preserved so that future generations will also know of their sacrifice. My interest in aviation history has led me to join the Canadian Museum of Flight in Langley, B.C. There are a lot of old guys working to keep the memories alive. Thanks for publishing the obituary in the Vancouver Sun. "We will remember them" Alan DeLong, Hope, B.C.

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Jeff. I’ve known Jeff for almost 40 years both personally and professionally. Growing up with Bill Jeffery, I first met Jeff in my early teens. In 1986, he hired me at The Jeffery Group and became an excellent teacher to me in the packaging industry. In the 24 years since, Jeff remained a close associate and was one of the most respected people in our industry. He accomplished a lot in his life but I think one of his greatest achievements was his involvement in the preserving of a piece of Canadian history when he guided the recovery and restoration of the Halifax NA337. He was a true gentleman and I will miss him greatly. My wife Julie and I want to extend our deepest sympathies to Elaine and the family. Phil Rubin President PMR Packaging Inc.
