I first met Sarah in 1969. I worked as Fashion Coordinator of Eatons Catalogue. Sarah was the sales rep for Brigdens Studio. We worked closely together....she was always the consummate professional, always prepared for meetings, ready and able to help. Underneath her starchy veneer was a warm, caring person who was gracious and charming. We stayed in touch until the mid-80's. I will never forget her. My deepest sympathies go out to Sarah's family.

Sarah was Director of the School of Fashion at Ryerson when I met her in 1957 as a young student. She was a strict disciplinarian and my Dad was very pleased to hear that as this was the first time I, his only daughter, had attended school away from home. She left Ryerson in the middle of my second year to take a position with Brigdens Studios as an Account Executive. My working relationship began with her there as I worked as a Contact Copywriter with Eaton's and thus my friendship with Sarah began. Interestingly, I also met my future husband, Lionel, at Eaton's and Sarah approved! She was helpful and nurturing; always professional but truly a friend away from the job. I followed her career path over the years from Toronto to Montreal and back to Whitby where she became Principal at Trafalgar Castle School. In later years I made a point of visiting Sarah several times a year in Toronto and am happy to say I had a chat with her just last week and we made plans for a visit before the end of November; she wanted to see pictures of the Fashion Class of '60's Fiftieth Reunion! I loved her and will miss her....may her spirit soar!

Saarah was a much loved member of the community of Fellowship Towers and will be sadly missed my many of her neighbours.
