We offer our heartfelt sympathy and condolences at this sad and hurting time. With our husband/father being a fellow resident on the LSSE 2nd Floor of the Sunnybrook Veterans’ Residence over the past eighteen months, we had the pleasure and joy of spending occasional times conversing and interacting with Albert [and his caregiver Lynn] on the floor, at “music and friends”, during various facility downstairs and “backyard” activities, and a few times sharing ginger ales and opinions in the “basement pub”. Each encounter was a simple and charming experience; Albert’s generally pleasant and engaging attitude was impressive and admirable under the circumstances. While he may not have initiated most of the conversations, he was attentive and frequently a willing and enthusiastic contributor. While you are suffering your loss, we hope you are also recalling and rejoicing in wonderful memories of the unique and special person who Albert was. Sorry for your loss.

"..Earthly man himself will return to the very dust."~Job 34:15. This has been the reality of mankind for thousands of years. However, we have the reassuring promise recorded at 1 Corinthians 15:26 that says: "As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing." Acts 24:15 also gives us this thought: "I have hope toward God, which hope these men themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." I pray that this scriptural hope gives the family of Mr. Ockwell comfort and peace.
