Memories of Bob I worked for Bob in the early 1980’s as a young engineer at Ontario Hydro. Just last week as I was looking at cottages I thought of Bob. Today for the first time in years I had a meeting downtown and looked up at where our offices had been and reflected on the good memories. Later by chance I ran into a co-worker from those days who gave me the sad news. Bob was a role model who had a positive impact on my life. I remember Bob looking sharp dressed in a blue jacket and grey pants. I had to smile because that is how I was dressed today. Bob was quite simply one of the nicest, positive, supportive, genuine people I have known and was the best person I have worked for in my career. I would like to express to Bob’s family and loved ones, my sincere sadness and sympathy for your loss.

Remembering Bob Long My first contact with Bob was in 1958 as an apprentice with Ontario Hydro. Later in my career, I worked for and with him till I retired in 1993. Bob was always a gentleman to all. He took time to listen and never forgot a name or face. Marjorie and I wish to express our sorrow for your loss.

Shirley and Family -- It was very sad to hear of Bob’s passing. Our family extends our deepest sympathy. I remember Bob as a warm outgoing person who always had a smile for you and I know that my mother thought the world of him. I remember playing golf with Bob following Marcy’s wedding here in New Jersey and having a great time. Bob will be missed on this side of the border.

Memories of Bob Long. As a young apprentice with Ontario Hydro in the mid 60's, Bob was the co ordinator of our learning group. Will never forget his ability to remember names and how he always looked so polished and neat. Definitely a great mentor and roll model for the rag tag bunch of us. Thank you for having an influence on my life.

Shirley and Family--- Bob was a dear sweet man and he always had a smile on his face. Though our paths did not cross as often as we would have liked, he was always present in our hearts and our family. I am sure that God will have a special place in heaven for Bob that has a wonderful workbench, lots of tools and a little sawdust. May God wrap his loving arms around all of you and hold you tight. Love, Dolores, Walter, Betsy and family and Jennifer and family.

The world became a better place with Bob Long in it. A caring sensitive, big brother, helped his father raise his four younger siblings after losing their mother in 1941. His continued support & guidance provided a steadfast security & love as they made their ways thru life. Bob was "the best". The best husband. The best father & grandfather. The best brother & br0ther & brother-in-law. He will be missed & loved forever. Jack & Penny Long.
