Dear Mary and Family: It was a great surprise to read in the Globe & Mail that Arthur had died last Friday. Just wanted you to know that Patricia and I have you very much in our thoughts and prayers. I had talked to Arthur just a few short days ago and was surprised when he told me that he was on continuous oxygen but I certainly didn't expect it to be our last conversation together. Arthur was a very wonderful and special person, the consummate gentleman and host. I know he will be missed so very much. He is certainly remembered with fondness by both Patricia and I. Good memories of visits with you both in Toronto. Please take care. You are blessed to have your family so close by and I know they will be there for you. I will call later to have a telephone visit or, perphaps will wait to hear from you when you will be free to talk. Just know that we are thinking of you. Take care my good and wonderful friend.
