We saw the notice of Hub's death in the paper today and send our sympathy to his family, all those connected by love. Though we are in Vancouver we shall be present with you in spirit during this time, especially during the service. I am one of Hugh Keenleyside's daughters. His cousins in Ontario were important family to him. I think he was sorry that it was not possible to be together more often. From all of this part of the family we send you our loving thoughts. Sincerely, Anne McCullum

I am saddened to hear of the passing of a friend and colleague, Hub Kennleyside. We were both on the staff of Central Hospital were we treated mutual patients. Hub was an excellent anesthesiologist and had a great sense of humour. He used to call our team, "Smash and Grab." He would smash(put to sleep) and I would grab (extract teeth). When Central Hospital closed, I missed seeing Hub the most. He is gone now and I offer my sincere condolences to his family, of which he was very proud. He spoke proudly of his daughter the archaeologist, and was quick to show me an article about her in National Geographic. May he rest in peace. Dr. Larry Gaum
