Obituary of Charles Brady

BRADY, Charles ThomasSurrounded by his family and completely at peace with his faith in God, Charlie passed away at home in his 95th year on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010. He was born in 1916 in Thorold, Ontario to Alphonsus Brady and Mary Alice Droughan. Predeceased by his beautiful bride of 66 years, Frances Mary Geraldine (Gerry) O'Brien, his son, Patrick and his sister, Patricia Taylor. He will be forever missed by his children Brenda (Boone), Peter (Beth), Mary Ann, Margaret, Brigid (Stephen) and Timothy; grandchildren Patrick, Martha (Mark); Droughan, Darryl, Allison (Rob); Ryan, Conor; David and William and great-grandchildren Jacob, Kaitlyn and Sarah. He was a month shy of meeting his newest great-grandchild. Loving brother-in-law of Beverley O'Brien and Sheila O'Brien. He had a special bond with all the Taylors. He also felt that the O'Brien family was his own and was a loving uncle. He was so appreciative of the reassuring presence and medical guidance of his nephew, Dr. Paul O'Brien. Charlie thought the best of everyone and was rewarded tenfold. His spirit and humour were contagious. He was equally passionate about the commonplace and the extraordinary. He showed all who knew him that there is nothing more powerful than a truly humble man. The family wishes to acknowledge the care provided by Fatma Saeed for the past 4 years and more recently by Shinnette Macalolot. Funeral mass to be held on Tuesday, June 8 at 11:00 a.m. at ST. ANSELM CHURCH, 1 MacNaughton Road , Toronto, M4G 3H3, 416-485-1792.
