Dear Mike and Family- I was shocked and saddened to learn of Allison's passing. It has been many years since Allison and I worked together, but I cherish those memories of our gang of justice seekers and advocates. Allison was an exceptional person, and a wonderful colleague. I know you will miss her, as we all will, but I also know she lives on in our memories and hearts. With my deepest sympathy for your loss- Susan Ursel

The silence that lives in the grass on the underside of every blade and in the blue spaces between the stones. The silence that follows shots and birdsong. The silence that pulls a blanket over the dead body and waits in the stairs until everyone is gone. The silence that lies like a small bird between your hands, the only friend you have. In Loving Memory of Dear Allison Hudgins. HOPI PRAYER Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle Autumn’s rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry: I am not there, I did not die.

Allison was one of those people whose unmistakable intelligence, integrity and generosity of spirit left you feeling lifted from every encounter with her. Whether she was sharing parenting experience and tips or laying out the vision for the Alan Howard Waldorf School, her contributions were invaluable. Some people you meet affect you at a deep level - making you want to change - just a bit - to be more like them. Allison was one of those people for us. Our sympathies are with you all during this very difficult time.

I am so sorry. I have very fond memories of good times with Allison in our knitting and craft circle that we had going for a while. She was a fun person to be around. No family should have to go through this and our thoughts are with you at this time. Julia and Paul

Allison was my student, a friend and my sage advisor in times of trouble. I regret not having seen her in the past few years and I am very saddened to learn of your loss. She had courage, humour, honesty and conviction. The world is smaller without her.

Dear Michael, Elena and Matthew, Though Allison can now be free from her suffering, it does leave all of us who loved her with a very heavy heart. This world has lost a very special soul. Both Lucy and I have felt honoured to call her a friend and colleague. We are also grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know all of you a bit better through this as well. She is greatly missed already. We are here for you in the times to come. Please don't hesitate to call.

Allison's light will shine on, warming us in its glow. She has touched so many, shared her incredible talents with her communities- especially ours from the Alan Howard Waldorf School. We were so enriched by Allison. She will be very dearly missed.
