Obituary of Anna Mildred Rankin
RANKIN, Anna Mildred
Died peacefully at the Balmoral Club on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012, Mim (nee Pettipiere) in her 93rd year. She was predeceased by her husband David Malcolm Rankin. Mim was a happy person who enjoyed life and will be sadly missed by her sister Phyllis McNair, her niece Karen (Bob Morgan) and her nephew Jeff ( Michelle Hovesen), her daughter-in-law Holly, son-in-law Nick (Lisette) and her "grands" Scott (Nicole), David, Kerrie, Riley, Stephanie (Chris Fewster), Malcolm (Heather), Patrick (Lee), Christopher (Angelique) and Cynthia (Mario Ladrey). There are nine "great-grands." Mim graduated from the Ontario College of Art and continued her love of art and painting for most of her life. She had a long career at Bell Canada and upon her retirement, she married David Rankin at the age of 64 and they enjoyed 25 happy years together in Knowlton, Quebec and Toronto, Ontario. They had a busy social life at the Toronto Hunt Club and the Badminton and Racquet Club. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation of the staff at the Balmoral Club for their exceptional and compassionate care. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service of remembrance in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6.
